ARE YOU READY TO GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY?

Clay Club is an Atlanta base clay and pottery enthusiast meet-up. Here we learn how to harvest and process naturals clay using  tools that we already have laying around in the backyard! We practice and learn about indigenousness and ancient techniques of pottery making as well as  building backyard kilns using firewood, bricks and coal!

HOW DID WE START?

Clay processing was a hobby I started back in 2020 after hearing about how my mom would spend her 3rd grade art classes going out to the forest to harvest they're own clay for class. I was so inspired and curious that I immediately went to doing my own digging. Since working with clay has become a foundation of my spiritual practice, ground and healing me during times of uncertainty and confusion. I hope to share this love of mine with as many I can throughout my lifetime.

WHAT IS FUPM?

FUPM Begin in 2022 with a collective of Black Fem Artist looking for ways to build community, develop their skills, share recourses, aid with professional development, and create a showcase to display all of the work we've put into our creative journeys. The main goal was to dismantle the idea that artists needed to move through traditional channels of artistic achievement in order to create monetary value for their artwork. We encouraged everyone to create their own ideas for success and then showcase what they've accomplished.  As a part of this collective I had to opportunity to showcase the shorts film "Kept and Ego Death". I also worked closely with the collective with developing marketing and fundraising  strategies. As well has assisting with structural support and the foundational build-up of the Collective.

THE MATRIARCH SOCIETY

Headshot Event

the Matriarch Society is an ATL based Non-profit that services black up and coming Black Femes within the music industry. Often times, with the exploitative nature of the music business, Black Femes can find themselves in dynamics that are predatory and/or unsafe. The Matriarch society provides resources, exposure and community for working musicians around Atlanta. One of their events connected local photographer and videographers to produce a free Headshot session where musicians could come and experience
